Who we are

FAITHBALL is an academic research project funded by the European Union under the Marie Skłodowska‑Curie Actions (MSCA).

The project is hosted by the University of Modena and Reggio Emilia (Italy) and investigates narratives, myths, and religious rituals in football during the Franco regime in Spain and the shifting political powers in Argentina (1939–1976).

The website is managed for research, dissemination, and communication purposes.

We do not collect personal data for commercial use, and any information provided by visitors is processed exclusively for academic, administrative, or communication-related purposes connected to the FAITHBALL project.


Comments

When visitors leave comments on the site, we collect the data shown in the comments form, the visitor’s IP address, and the browser user agent string to help detect spam.

An anonymized string created from your email address (a hash) may be sent to the Gravatar service to check if you use it.

After your comment is approved, your profile picture becomes visible to the public in the context of your comment.


Media

If you upload images to the website, avoid uploading files that contain embedded location data (EXIF GPS).

Visitors to the website may download and extract any location data from images published on the site.


Cookies

If you leave a comment, you may choose to save your name, email address, and website in cookies. These are for your convenience so you do not have to re‑enter your details when leaving another comment. These cookies last for one year.

If you visit the login page, a temporary cookie is set to determine whether your browser accepts cookies. It contains no personal data and is discarded when you close your browser.

When you log in, several cookies are set to save your login information and screen display preferences. Login cookies last two days; screen options cookies last one year. If you select “Remember Me”, your login persists for two weeks. Logging out removes the login cookies.

If you edit or publish an article, an additional cookie is saved in your browser. It contains no personal data and simply indicates the post ID of the article you edited. It expires after one day.

Embedded content behaves exactly as if the visitor had accessed the external website directly.
